Is brass the same as gold-plated jewelry?

No — these are solid brass pieces, not plated. Gold-plated jewelry has a thin gold coating over a base metal that wears off over months or years. Solid brass is the same material throughout — it develops a patina but never loses its surface. The golden tone is permanent.

Bronze is a copper-tin alloy with a darker, reddish-brown tone. Brass is a copper-zinc alloy with a brighter, more golden appearance.
