Twelve hand-forged axes — functional tools and collector statement pieces, each with a forged steel head and a fitted wooden handle shaped and finished individually. The axe was not a secondary weapon in the Viking age. It was the primary tool of daily life, construction, shipbuilding and combat, and the object most closely associated with Norse material culture across the archaeological record. Every piece in this collection is forged — not cast, not machined — meaning the steel grain is compressed and oriented by hammer blows at heat, producing a head that holds an edge and carries the character of the process on its surface.

Are these axes functional or display only?

Both. The hatchets (Vill Gustus, Tree of Life, Valkyrie) and the Skaldrun Tomahawk are built and balanced for practical outdoor use. The larger Leviathan-profile axes and the double axe are primarily display and collector pieces, though fully forged from steel. Each product page specifies intended use.

Can I get a custom name or rune engraved on an axe?

How long does production and shipping take?
