Todos los vikingos querían ser guerreros porque creían que eso los colocaba al servicio de Odín, el rey de los dioses nórdicos y el dios de la guerra (así como de la sabiduría y la brujería).

Creían que si morían valientemente en el campo de batalla serían llevados a vivir en Valhalla, el salón de Odín, donde permanecerían hasta que fueran llamados nuevamente a luchar en el ejército de Odín al final de los días.

El Blanco, que significa nudo de guerreros caídos, era el símbolo de este máximo logro vikingo.
Se encuentra en todo el mundo vikingo en asociación con los muertos y con Odín.

Se cree que señalaba a los muertos como entre los guerreros de Valhalla, o incluso puede haber sido usado como parte de un hechizo para asegurar que el difunto estuviera entre los llevados al salón de Odín y no se encontrara en helheim.

Así, el Valknut era el símbolo del guerrero vikingo, sus creencias y su dedicación a Odín.

I absolutely love this ring, I wear it every single day. I was a little worried it would be slightly too big, but it’s an almost perfect size. Slightly smaller would make it a better fit overall though. Feels fantastic and sturdy, and no darkening at all yet
